§ 50-42. Performance Standards and Reporting Requirements.

  • (a)

    The validity of a Certificate is expressly conditioned upon continued compliance by EMTS providers with all applicable requirements of State law including, but not limited to, F.S. chs. 316, 322, 395 and 401, and applicable FAC rules which establish the standards for vehicles, equipment and personnel.

    (b)

    Each Certificate Holder will manage its operations to meet the following Performance Standards:

    (1)

    Scheduled Transport Response Time: Response time of 30 minutes or less 90 percent of the time.

    (2)

    Unscheduled Transport Response Time: Response time of 60 minutes or less 90 percent of the time.

    (3)

    Unscheduled Urgent Transport Response Time: Response time of 30 minutes or less 90 percent of the time.

    (c)

    Each Certificate Holder shall file a quarterly report with the DOH-Sarasota on a form approved and provided by the DOH-Sarasota. The purpose of the report is to document compliance with the Performance Standards established by this Section. The form shall require each Certificate Holder to document the following:

    (1)

    Number of requested BLS and ALS transports, both scheduled and unscheduled.

    (2)

    Number of actual BLS and ALS transports, both scheduled and unscheduled.

    (3)

    Each call in which lights and siren were used, with a description of the circumstances warranting such use.

    (4)

    Response times for scheduled and unscheduled transports performed during the quarter.

    (d)

    For purposes of this Section, a "quarter" shall mean the three-month period ending on March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31 of each year. Reports shall be due to DOH-Sarasota within ten days following the end of each quarter and are delinquent on the fifteenth day of the month following the end of each quarter. For new Certificate Holders, the first report shall be due ten days after the first full quarter following issuance of a COPCN.

    (e)

    Each Certificate Holder shall notify the County within 24 hours if the Certificate Holder's license issued by the Department of Health pursuant to F.S. ch. 401, is revoked.
