§ 6-32. [Hours.]

  • (a)

    Regulating time of sale, serving or consumption of alcoholic beverages on licensed premises. The following hours are hereby fixed and established for the sale, serving or consumption of any alcoholic beverage on the premises of any holder of an alcoholic beverage license within the unincorporated area of Sarasota County:

    (1)

    Sales and Serving. 7:00 a.m. to 2:15 a.m. of the following day; for all sales and serving.

    (2)

    Consumption. 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. of the following day for all consumption.

    (3)

    New Year's Day exception. On December 31 of each year the regular hours shall be extended to 3:00 a.m. of the following day (New Year's Day) for sales, serving and consumption.

    (b)

    Effect on other ordinances. The provisions of this section supersede the provisions of all prior ordinances on this subject.

    (c)

    Penalties. Violation of this section shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $500.00 or by imprisonment in the County jail not to exceed 60 days or by both such fine and imprisonment.
