§ 54-1058. Applicability and Interpretation.

(1)

Applicability. The provisions of this article shall be applicable to all areas within Sarasota County, including, but not limited to, all municipalities.

(2)

Interpretation. The provisions of this article shall be interpreted in the following manner:

(a)

In the interpretation of this article, all provisions shall be considered minimal requirements and construed liberally to effectuate the remedial purposes of this article.

(b)

This article is not intended to repeal, abrogate, or impair any rights under the common law, statutes, laws, or ordinances which provide for additional methods of cost recovery.

(c)

Where this article conflicts with or overlaps another County ordinance, whichever results in a more complete cost recovery shall apply.
