§ 50-40. Insurance Requirements.

(a)

Each Certificate Holder shall carry insurance as set forth in this section to secure payment for any loss or damage resulting from any occurrence arising out of or caused by the operation or use of any of the Certificate Holder's EMTSV.

(b)

Certificates of Insurance shall be kept current and all Certificates and renewals are to be furnished to Sarasota County Risk Management (1660 Ringling Boulevard, 3rd Floor, Sarasota, FL 34236) within 30 days of being granted a COPCN.

(c)

A Certificate will not be issued until the following requirements are met:

(1)

Business automobile liability: Each Certificate Holder shall maintain Business Automobile Liability in accordance with state statute.

(2)

Medical malpractice: Each Certificate Holder shall maintain medical malpractice insurance in accordance with state statutes.

(d)

All policies of insurance shall be primary and written on forms acceptable to the County and placed with insurance carriers approved and licensed by the Insurance Department in the State of Florida and meet a minimum financial AM Best Company rating of no less than "A- Excellent: FSC VII." No changes are to be made to these specifications without prior written specific approval by County Risk Management.
