§ 126-212. Mandatory connection.

  • The properties located within a Potable Water and/or Sewer District established pursuant to this article are required to connect to the County's central water and/or sewer systems pursuant to the following:

    (a)

    If the District is receiving central water service only, connection must be made to the County's central water system within 90 days following initial notification that potable water service is available (the "Potable Water Connection Period").

    (b)

    If the District is receiving both central water service and central sewer service, connection must be made to the County's central water system within the Potable Water Connection Period and connection must be made to the County's central sewer system pursuant to the time period specified in Section 126-58 of the County Code following initial notification that potable water and sewer service is available (the "Sewer Connection Period").

    (c)

    If the District is receiving central sewer service only, connection must be made to the County's central sewer system within the Sewer Connection Period.

    (d)

    A readiness-to-serve charge shall accrue for each property within the District, whether or not connected to the central system(s), upon expiration of the respective Connection Periods.
