§ 118-47. Construction and interpretation.

  • (a)

    Where any provision of this article refers to another provision, ordinance, statute, policy, manual, rule, regulation or other authority, it refers to the most current version, incorporating any amendments thereto or redesignation thereof.

    (b)

    It is the purpose of this article to provide additional and cumulative remedies for the prevention, abatement and control of harm to the public health, safety and welfare.

    (c)

    Compliance with the provisions of this article does not obviate the necessity to comply with other statutes, rules, regulations, ordinances or codes governing the subject matter herein. Wherever the provisions of this article are in conflict with the Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 2003-52, as amended) (Appendix A to this Code), this article controls. Wherever the provisions of this article are at variance with any other governmentally adopted statute, rule, regulation, ordinance or code, the most restrictive, or that imposing the higher standard, shall govern.
