    (a)

    Modification of Table 1 for special exception Tower in residential zoned districts.

    (1)

    As part of the application for special exception for a Telecommunications Tower, processed pursuant to the Sarasota County Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 2003-052, as amended) (Appendix A to this Code), the Applicant may apply for a modification to height restriction for a tower in residential zoned district set forth in Table 1. In addition to the standards for special exceptions set forth in the Sarasota County Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 2003-052, as amended), the Board shall determine whether the following standards, where applicable, have been met:

    a.

    The modification will be consistent with the purposes and intent of these tower regulations;

    b.

    The modification will not be contrary to the public interest;

    c.

    The modification will promote Co-Location;

    d.

    The modification will not create significant incompatibilities with adjacent properties;

    e.

    The tower shall be located on nonresidential use property;

    f.

    The tower shall be located on two-acre parcel or larger;

    g.

    The tower shall be set back 100 percent tower height but in no event less than 100 feet from any lot of less than five acres located within a Residential or Open Use district. Additionally, no tower approved by special exception shall be located within 100 feet of any residential structure; and

    h.

    The tower shall not exceed 125 feet in height.
